boston-massacre1.gifThe Boston Globe had a small bit in the Sidekick today about some "experimental party music" which sounded intriguing to me so I went to this website they referenced and found some very intersting links. In particular, the link to Wayne&Wax’s latest Boston Smashacre, which is a follow up to the even better original mix Boston Mashacre. These are both excellent mix/smashups of numerous cross-genre musical icons from the Boston Music scene. From Think Tree to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones to Aerosmith to Tracy Champman, and a lot more…he covers some serious ground! In particular I like the section in Boston Mashacre that takes the insidiously infectious shuffle beat from Bel, Biv, Devoe’s "Poison" and puts it behind, in succession, The Cars’  "Just What I Needed" , J Geils Band’s "Angel is a Centerfold" and Boston’s "More than a Feeling"…fun stuff!
